Forensic Consulting and Expert Witness Testimony

The variable legal status of hemp and cannabis across the United States has produced complicated  situations that go well beyond simple drug possession.

How to retain our services:

These are the steps that will need to be completed before retaining our services:

  • Retain Counsel. Practicing in employment law area, preferably. Specific experience in drug testing is not required; CGL can steer them through the CBD->THC related material.

  • Lab Test Results. Have your attorney request all records (documentation of urine sample provided on-site, chain of custody, analysis, everything) related to the THC+ urine test result from the company or directly from the lab performing the testing.

  • Records. Thoroughly document and photograph the products you used, lot#, purchase date, etc.

  • Third-Part Testing. Send the hemp products for independent lab testing to determine cannabinoid content. We recommend DB Labs, in Nevada ( https://www.dblabslv.com/).

 What we provide:

  • Expert witness testimony in report format, deposition, and testimony
  • Comprehensive auditing of chain of custody, forensic procedure, methodology, and analysis of case evidence
  • Neutral third-party evaluation of information and evidence produced by prosecution or defense expert
Colorado Green Lab provides forensic consulting services in civil and criminal cases that involve cannabis. As an expert in this subject area, we have been instrumental in the successful pre-trial resolution of casework involving child custody disputes, alleged cannabis possession/use, differentiation of hemp and cannabis products, and employment-related drug testing.
